Vissai Ninh Binh president Hoang Manh Tuong said his club had submitted a letter to Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) about their intention of hosting a tournament for champions clubs of Southeast Asia. The competition may be scheduled in January 2011, right after AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 and involve 6 to 8 clubs.
Ninh Binh is now waiting for responses and also wants to make it an annual tournament if they can get approval from AFF.
Interesting developments here. Hopefully this will get off the ground.
