After Austrian coach Alfred Riedl left his positition as head coach of Laos national football team, Laos Football Federation and its sponsor HAGL Group have decided to fill the vacancy with English man David Booth. HAGL Group will help Laos Football Federation pay the salary of the 62-year-old coach as they did for Alfred Riedl in the past.

David Booth is no stranger in Southeast Asia as he was in charge of many regional teams such as Khanh Hoa (V-League), BEC Tero Sasana (TPL), Brunei and Myanmar. Before coming to Laos, David Booth worked at Mahindra United, a top club in India.
