V-League troubled by disciplinary problems.

It's not the first time the V-League was marred by disciplinary problems on the pitch. There were six games last weekend and there was 19 goals scored but as many as six red cards and 33 yellow cards were handed out.

The pinnacle of this weekend for those betting soccer odds happened in the 3-3 draw between Navibank Saigon and SHB Da Nang when there were 6 yellow cards for both sides and the home players decided to walk out to protest the referee's decision of awarding Da Nang a penalty at 86th minute. After Navibank Saigon players agreed to return to the pitch 10 mins later, Da Nang player Minh Phuong failed to score from the spot. However, the game was still so hot that the referee decided to end the game at 91st minute despite it was supposed to have 4 mins of additional time.

More disciplinary problems were seen in other games. Three players are sent off in the goalless draw between Binh Duong and Dong Thap. Two saw red in the 1-1 draw Khanh Hoa and Hoa Phat. Particularly, Hoa Phat's Timothy Anjembe may face a long ban as he was kneeling towards the official after getting sent off.

V-League 2011: Round 12 Results

Vissai Ninh Binh v HAGL: 3-0
A comfortable win for the home side. Brazilian striker Gustavo marked his return with a goal for Ninh Binh.

Khanh Hoa v Hoa Phat HN: 1-1
Hoa Phat held Khanh Hoa to a draw with an equalizer by Timothy Anjembe, who was later sent off. Khanh Hoa captain Le Tan Tai also saw red.

Ha Noi ACB v Vicem Hai Phong: 5-0
Despite Hai Phong's poor form, nobody had expected Ha Noi ACB to record a 5-star victory today. Ha Noi ACB's Pham Thanh Luong was top of the match.

Binh Duong v Dong Thap: 0-0
The home side had only themselves to blame as they were held to a goalless draw by Dong Thap, who played with 9 men for more than half of the game. With this result, Binh Duong extended its poor home form, having won only one game so far.

Navibank Saigon v SHB Da Nang: 3-3
A beautiful game with a lot of goals. New boy Ntambi Kirizestom opened his duck for Navibank Saigon with an early goal but Merlo's brace earned a point for the visitors. Merlo moved to top of scorer chart with 11 goals after this round.

DT Long An v Thanh Hoa: 0-3
A truly disappointing result for the home side. This added more pressure on Long An new coach Simon McMenemy, who had seen his side defeated 5 times out of 7 games since he took charge.
